My first car, originally tan. I named him Edward. I still remember quite well sitting in the driver's seat in my driveway, long before I had my license, thinking about what it was going to be like to drive this car - the places I'd go, the people I'd see, the stuff I'd do. It was MY space. Cool. My cousin gave me the car because it was rusting and our grandparents gave him a better car. I got it when I was 14. On my 15th birthday, I had a whole bunch of my friends over. I set out cans of paint and brushes and sandpaper and told people to paint whatever they wanted all over it. It came out pretty interesting, lemme tell ya. I had a big yin-yang on the roof, fire down one side, a vine down the other side, my hatch ended up purple with red flowers on it, my front right fender had an odd sock on it, my rear left door was blue with trees on it.... you get the picture. Speaking of pictures, I'll have to find one of that car and put it up here sometime, because it's worth seeing. It was a five-speed with all the options except a sunroof. It drove pretty nicely, and I sold it in perfect condition except for some rust for $800 to a friend. I have no idea where it is now, although I saw it sitting in the middle of Peterborough a couple years ago. Haven't seen it since - it probably got junked, and maybe it's crushed by now. That would be a shame. Ah well...
